Catering support for Colchester Garrison
Sodexho Defence Services has signed a £347m contract to provide catering and support services at the Army's Colchester Garrison in Essex as part of a £2b private finance initiative project.
Sodexho is part of the RMPA consortium that will redevelop, operate and provide facilities management at the garrison for the next 35 years. The other members are facilities management company WS Atkins, construction firm Sir Robert McAlpine, and equity partner HSBC Infrastructure.
The contract is due to start in June.
Wilson Vale sets up in food prep
Wilson Vale has won a £200,000 year-long contract at Foremarke Hall Preparatory School in Repton, Derby. The Leicestershire-based caterer provides meals seven days a week for 400 pupils at the boarding school.
Pig-out possibilities for bacon-makers
Catering Partnership has started a three-year £500,000 total sales deal with Tulip, a producer of bacon products, in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
Five catering staff will provide breakfast, lunch, an evening meal, vending and hospitality to 539 people on site, five days a week.
The service was previously operated in-house.
Appliance of science for Sodexho
Sodexho has extended its contract with the John Cabot City Technology College in Kingswood, Bristol, for a further five years.
The deal, which has a turnover of about £175,000 a year, means providing catering for 1,000 pupils aged between 11 and 16 and those at the sixth form college.
The new contract starts on 1 August.
Eurest paints itself into the right corner
Eurest has won a contract with paint and chemicals manufacturer Akzo Nobel at two sites, in Darwen, Lancashire, and Warrington, Cheshire. The three-year contract has annual sales of £195,000.
Eurest is to provide 400 employees with freshly made soups and sandwiches, a self-service salad and deli-bar, and a range of hot paninis.
Charlton House has the information
Charlton House has been awarded the staff catering contract for information service provider McGraw-Hill's Canary Wharf offices.
Charlton House started the three-year deal on 26 January, serving 700 staff. McGraw-Hill would not disclose the value of the contract.
