Dinner Ladies has achieved B Corp certification.
The foodservice company was recognised for its sustainability and community efforts, achieving an impact score of 102.6 – exceeding the threshold of 80.
This certification reinforces Dinner Ladies’ commitment to continuously measuring its impact and setting ambitious targets while growing a greener, more ethical catering business.
The company works with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients to create menus that include lower carbon footprint vegan and vegetarian options. The firm also offers reusable and compostable packaging and zero-emissions delivery via an electric van.
Lily Cai, founder and managing director of Dinner Ladies, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to share we are now officially a B Corp! Attaining such a prestigious certification means the world to us and reflects our defining commitment to people and planet. We’re really proud of the score we achieved, it validates the commitments which have always been core to how we operate. We cannot wait to build on this incredible milestone.”
Among many of the company’s sustainability achievements, Dinner Ladies has also created the Sharing Plates initiative. In partnership with The Felix Project, the company repurposes surplus and donated ingredients into high-quality, nutritious meals for Londoners affected by homelessness, delivered locally in partnership with Streets Kitchen. In 2025, Sharing Plates helped deliver over 1,000 meals.
Chris Turner, executive director of B Lab UK, added: “We are pleased to have B Corps of all shapes and sizes as part of our community – from start ups to multinationals and across many different industries. Welcoming Dinner Ladies to the B Corp community is hugely exciting. Its commitment to doing business differently will be an inspiration to others and will help spread the notion that success in business is as much about people and planet as it is profit.”
