Elior said it was planning a “significant” investment in the front and back-of-house facilities
Elior has won a six-year contract with Dundee United Football Club to offer hospitality services across the 14,000-capacity Tannadice Park stadium.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Dundee United said it was the club’s largest ever commercial agreement.
Elior will begin catering at the stadium this month in preparation for summer events and the start of the new football season.
As part of the deal, Elior said it was planning a “significant” investment in improving front and back-of-house facilities.
The caterer plans to introduce new technology to speed up service and create new matchday menus, partnering with local businesses to source Scottish produce.
Mark Cunningham, head of commercial at Dundee United Football Club, said the deal would see an overhaul of matchday experiences and the return of Tennent’s lager being served at the stadium.
Craig Stewart, managing director stadia at Elior UK, said: “Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be collaborating with the club to develop a number of innovative food offers that will elevate the matchday experience.”
This is the latest addition to Elior’s stadia portfolio across Scotland, which includes Scottish Gas Murrayfield and Hibernian Football Club in Edinburgh and Rangers FC in Glasgow.
Earlier this year Elior won a contract with Birmingham City Council to provide catering at the Alexander Stadium.
