The luxury country house hotel is bringing in a new manager ahead of its 15th anniversary of trading next year
Gareth Davies has been named general manager at the luxury Ellenborough Park hotel in Cheltenham.
He replaces Marwan Hemchaoui, who left in summer for a role as managing director at the nearby Lakes by Yoo in Lechlade.
Davies joins from Hand Picked Hotels’ Rhinefield House hotel in Hampshire, where he worked as general manager for six years, and he has also managed Stanbrook Abbey in Worcestershire.
He will start his new role on 6 January, overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s operations, including its spa, two-AA-rosette restaurant and 61 bedrooms.
His appointment comes as the hotel prepares to celebrate its 15th anniversary of trading next year.
Davies said: “The hotel has an outstanding reputation for high-quality service and luxury and I’m looking forward to making my own contribution to further amplify the guest experience. With the hotel celebrating its 15th anniversary next year, it’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate its heritage while shaping the text chapter.”
Ellenborough Park is a 15th-century manor house situated within 90 acres of land in the heart of the Cotswolds.
