First look: £1b Chancery Rosewood hotel finally opens its doors

Nightly room rates in September are around £1,850 for a Junior Suite, £5,110 for a Premier Suite, £13,910 for a Signature Suite and £16,810 for one of the Houses. Those staying in the Signature Suites and Houses will have access to a private butler.

The hotel employs an art concierge and is home to 700 pieces of art selected by London-based consultancy Cramer & Bell.

Artists have been commissioned to create artwork for certain spaces including leading British painter Sir Christopher Le Brun, whose art can be found above the main fireplace.

Within the guest suites, Anthony Grace has been commissioned to create 278 pieces of artwork. Known for his American Surrealism, the series of collages relate to US landmarks and past Presidents.

The Chancery Rosewood will feature eight restaurants and bars. So far, four have launched to the public, including all-day Mediterranean restaurant Serra, which is being overseen by chef de cuisine Alex Povall, previously executive chef at Berenjak Soho.

Dessert café Jacqueline serves a signature range of pastries inspired by flowers and created using perfumery techniques.

The rooftop Eagle Bar is being led by director of bars Liana Oster, who has partnered with a vinyl-first east London collective to curate its music programme.

Meanwhile, neighbourhood delicatessen GSQ offers a range of pastries, salads and sandwiches available for takeaway or to be enjoyed on the terrace on Grosvenor Square.

Tobi Masa, a restaurant from chef Masayoshi ‘Masa’ Takayama of the three-Michelin-starred Masa in New York, will open on 16 September.

Further details on New York-based Italian-American restaurant Carbone, which is set to make its European debut at the Chancery Rosewood, will be revealed in due course.

Events spaces at the hotel include a state-of-the-art Grand Ballroom with capacity for up to 750 guests, two Salons and a Foyer, a Pavillion Bar and Lounge and West Pavillion, providing expansive space for all events and celebrations.
