A school catering contract worth an estimated £12m is up for grabs in North East Lincolnshire.

The four-year contract will see the chosen caterer provide school meals for primary age maintained schools and academies in the region.

North East Lincolnshire Council is acting as an agent for 31 primary schools in the borough that have indicated they would like to be part of the arrangement. Other primary schools in the area will also be able to join the list at a later stage.

The contract has been broken down into four different school meal service types, which will all be awarded to one supplier. They are: fully managed cook on site service, fully managed cook chill service, delivered-in cook chill service and delivered-in hot meals service.

Tenders must be submitted electronically by 1pm on 22 February at https://www.yortender.co.uk
