Event caterer 1879 Events Management is getting ready to cater for more than 65,000 visitors at one of the UK's largest free LGBT events this weekend (15-17 July).
The firm, a subsidiary of North East hospitality brand SoL, will once again be catering for Newcastle Pride, which opens at the city's Town Moor on Friday evening.
The three-day event, returning for its ninth year, will include live music and entertainment with headline appearances from 5ive and Heather Small.
1879 Events Management - which has a five-year deal to provide all the catering at Newcastle Pride - will be supplying eight catering units and three large bars.
More than 150 staff will be serving street food including burgers, fish and chips and fajitas, along with an estimated 15,000 pints over the weekend.
Gary Hutchinson, director at 1879 Events Management, said: "This will be our fourth successive year looking after the catering and hospitality needs for Newcastle Pride and we are delighted to once again be a part of such a big event.
"Our team will be responsible for all of the food and drink on site and we're making sure we are prepared. We and are looking forward to welcoming all of our customers to what promises to be a busy and fun weekend."
1879 Events Management manages catering and events at the Stadium of Light and National Glass Centre, Sunderland.
Since its launch in 2012 it has also managed a number of external events including the annual Newcastle Pride festival, the Teesside heat of the North East Business Awards at Teesside University and the Sunderland Retail Awards in the city's Bridges Shopping Centre.
