2018 General Managers' conference to focus on cyber technology and the evolution of food

Cyber technology and the evolution of food are subjects set to top the agenda at the Master Innholders' 25th General Managers' conference.

The new innovators session at the event, taking place on 15-16 January 2018 at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London, will be presented by Oliver Rees from ZZZ, who is to demystify cyber technology.

Meanwhile, The Caterer ambassador and hospitality consultant Amanda Afiya will chair a panel debate on food trends with Gorgeous Group founder Robbie Bargh, Selfridges store director David Jarvis and Chantelle Nicholson, group operations director of Marcus Wareing Restaurants.

Other speakers include brand consultant Tim Watson, Paul Martin from Mixxa, who will discuss advances in the guest experience and Rio 2016 gold medalist hockey player Crista Cullen.

Chair of the 2018 Conference Committee and managing director of Exclusive Hotels & Resorts, Danny Pecorelli, said: "The 2018 Hotel General Managers' Conference will be a celebration of everything we have achieved as an industry and look forward to how we can progress in the future. Rather than focusing negatively on the challenges we face in hospitality, the sessions throughout the event will outline the opportunities that have arisen from adversity."
