3663 teams up with Bibendum to launch new wine company

Supplier 3663 First for Foodservice has teamed up with wine merchant Bibendum to create a new joint-venture company, Vivas, to sell into the on-trade.

Vivas will allow 3663 to offer customers a portfolio of wines for the first time in addition to the food and equipment it is already known for.

Bibendum will source more than 150 wines from countries including France, South Africa, California, Italy, Argentina, New Zealand and Australia as part of the venture, with 3663 handling distribution.

Alex Fisher, managing director of 3663 Wholesale, said: "Bibendum's understanding of the wine market will strengthen our offering and help us to supply customers with a comprehensive range of food and wine as well as ambient products and catering equipment in one order."
