ABM Catering Solutions acquires contracts of Talkington Bates Midlands
ABM Catering Solutions has acquired the contracts and trade of catering company Talkington Bates Midlands.
The purchased contracts include a mixture of 10 care and business & industry units across London, Wales and north-west England.
The value of the transaction cannot be revealed but the acquisition of the contracts takes ABM Catering Solutions' turnover to more than £28m.
Fiona Hopkinson, the director of Talkington Bates Midlands, will transition across to ABM Catering Solutions and will have full responsibility for the continuing long-term client relationships. She will also oversee the integration of the contracts into ABM's existing portfolio.
Sue Johnson, managing director of ABM Catering Solutions, said: "ABM Catering Solutions see this as an important acquisition which strengthens its position within the care sector and provides a strong foundation for continued growth in this area."
She added: "ABM would like to welcome Fiona and all staff transferring across from Talkington Bates Midlands and look forward to providing our new clients with exceptional food through exceptional service and exceptional people."
Talkington Bates Limited, which is not part of the sale, will continue to operate independently under owners Janice Talkington and Paul Bates, who founded the company in 1997.
