Acorn Scholarship 2009 now open for entries

Are you a talented individual looking to fulfil your ambitions? Then why not apply for this year's Acorn Scholarship.

Set up seven years ago by the Oak Committee, an independent network formed by previous winners of Caterer's Acorn Awards, the scholarship aims to seek out young, talented individuals in the hospitality industry and help them achieve their ambitions.

The Scholarship winner will receive, among other things, a £2,000 bursary, £1,500 worth of learnpurple training, a trip to Villeroy and Boch in Luxembourg.

The scholarship is self-nominated, although the backing of an employer is needed, and is open to British residents able to work without restriction in the UK.

For more information on how to enter visit www.acornscholarship.org.uk but hurry the entry deadline for this year's Acorn Scholarship has been set for 10 October.
