AiP scoops school contract renewals worth £4m
Education caterer Alliance in Partnership (AiP) has been awarded four school contract renewals worth almost £4m.
AiP has already enjoyed extended relationships with each of the four schools, from 10 to 17 years, and it credits customer care and quality service as the reason behind its longevity.
Managing director David Weller explained: "Retaining existing business is just as important as securing new clients and we value the relationships we have with our schools."
The caterer has signed a new three-year deal at Dr Challoner's Grammar School in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, worth £1.4m having run the contract for 10 years already.
As part of a two-year contract extension at Chesham Grammar, also in Buckinghamshire, worth £650,000, AiP will invest in new kitchen equipment. It has operated the meals service at the school, which holds the Bronze Food for Life award, for 12 years.
AiP chef Kevin Ryan will take charge of the kitchen, which will continue to provide a hot and cold meal service daily to three smaller, satellite feeder schools. There will be investment in service and equipment during the life of the contract to extensively improve the dining hall.
Hanley Castle High School in Worcester will commence its new £450,000 three-year contract in September and once again the caterer will be investing in facilities.
AiP has been at the school for 12 years and catering manager Tracey Hall, who won the newcomer of year AiP achievement award in 2010 has increased sales by over 30% in less than 12 months.
The fourth contract retention is at Wye Valley School, Bourne End, which AiP has managed for 10 years. The two-year retention deal is worth £250,000 and will see investment in new counters and display equipment to improve presentation and entice students.
