AiP wins five-year school meals deal in Bedfordshire
Education caterer Alliance in Partnership (AiP) has won a five-year school meals deal in Bedfordshire worth £1m, its first in the region.
The contract at Harlington Upper School in Dunstable started last month and sees AiP provide catering services to almost 1,360 pupils aged 13 to 18.
Meals are freshly prepared on-site daily with a choice of breakfast, lunch and snacks that meet the required national Government food standards and menus will run on a three-weekly cycle.
David Weller, managing director of AiP, said: "Harlington has a partnership ethos and is part of the Healthy Schools Programme so it is a tremendous opportunity to be working alongside such a health-conscious and progressive school."
AiP has secured nine new contracts and retained four since the start of the September school term and the company said it expects its success to continue with a further five contracts in the pipeline during the run up to Christmas.
