Alliance in Partnership wins £3m school dinners contract in Coventry
Education caterer Alliance in Partnership](http://www.allianceinpartnership.co.uk/orangeDetail.php?11) (AIP) has been awarded a £3m contract to provide catering services for five schools in Coventry.
The three-year deal, the first to be won in the independent schools sector for AIP, commences on 1 September and sees the caterer provide school meals for more than 2,000 pupils altogether.
The contract was awarded to AIP ahead of five strong competitors, with industry consultant Trevor Chilver of Preferred Catering Consultants submitting the tender.
David Weller, AIP managing director, said: "Schools are constantly monitoring and raising education and environment standards and have very high expectations of partner providers.
"We want to be recognised as the very best in our field and winning this contract is a benchmark for AiP, offering enormous opportunities moving forward into the independent education sector."
Nutritionally-analysed menus will be prepared daily and AIP will also cater for sporting teas, open days and client hospitality events.
The five schools that will receive the services of AIP are Bablake Senior School, Bablake Junior School, Bablake Pre-Preparatory School, King Henry VIII School and King Henry VII Preparatory School, all of which are maintained by the Coventry School Foundation.
