Alpha LSG soars away with Manchester Airport deal

In-flight catering provider Alpha LSG has won the contract to provide catering, housekeeping and janitorial services at Emirates Lounge at Manchester Airport.

The three-year contract begins this month. It will see Alpha LSG cater for up to 200 Emirates first class, business class or sky gold passengers at any one time.

Alex Forbes, Alpha LSG regional business director, said: "This is an important contract for our new Alpha LSG operation in the UK. Our success in winning this business is testimony to the dedication and experience of our team and the high quality of our products."

LSG Sky Chefs has operated in Manchester Airport's departures lounge since it opened in 2009.

Alpha LSG was formed in October 2012 as a UK-only joint venture by LSG Sky Chefs and Alpha Flight Group. The business has combined revenues of over £300m through operations across 16 UK airports.
