Amadeus pushes growth at NEC group

Contract caterer Amadeus has been credited as one of the biggest contributors to the NEC Group's overall revenue increase for the year end 31 March 2017.

Reported revenue for the whole group was £157.7m - up 17% - and EBITDA of £50.4m, up 58% on the previous year.

NEC Group CEO Paul Thandi said: "We are progressing other planned developments on our NEC site within the context of our wider campus Masterplan, and we will continue to extend our footprint through winning third-party venue management contracts and by securing new external opportunities for Amadeus."

The NEC Group did not provide any specific figures for Amadeus.

The NEC Group operates the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), the International Convention Centre (ICC), the Genting Arena, Arena Birmingham and the Vox Conference Centre. It also manages national ticketing agency, the Ticket Factory; hospitality brand, amplify; and award-winning caterer, Amadeus.
