Amadeus signs £1m catering contract with Birmingham Town Hall

Caterer Amadeus has won a new contract worth up to £1m with Birmingham's Town Hall, it has announced.

The three-year deal, with an option to extend to five years, will provide banqueting and conference catering for all commercial events held at the venue, including conferences, awards events, drinks receptions and film screenings. The Grade-I listed building is also used for weddings and other similar occasions, and also works with the co-managed Symphony Hall.

Managing director of Amadeus, Kevin Watson said: "This is a significant win for Amadeus and we are pleased to be adding yet another landmark City Centre venue to our portfolio. We look forward to working closely with the team at Town Hall to help grow the number of commercial events held at the venue, by offering our customers the very finest catering and hospitality service."

Nick Loveland, Town Hall and Symphony Hall Birmingham director of operations said: "We are thrilled to have Amadeus on board. We were looking for a caterer who could match up to the impressive surroundings of Town Hall [and] Amadeus is renowned for the quality of its food offering.

"This, coupled with its expertise in the catering industry, fills us with confidence that together we can deliver a unique world-class experience to new and existing clients."

This is the second Birmingham contract for Amadeus in the past few weeks after it recently announced a £2m deal with the city's Library.
