Amadeus wins £2.5m Scottish Open deal
Amadeus has won a new five-year deal worth £2.5m to cater for the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open.
The NEC Group's foodservice business has been working on the event, which is part of the European Tour, since 1999.
The Scottish Open contract will see Amadeus operate all catering outlets for visitors and players during the four day tournament. It will also provide all the corporate hospitality.
Amadeus managing director Kevin Watson commented: "This win shows recognition of the highly innovative approach we have brought to the table, and of our growing reputation."
Peter Adams, director of international championships for the PGA, added: "With more than 35 years of experience catering at some of the country's top venues and events, Amadeus never fails to bring us new ideas and concepts to help further improve our catering offer for our visitors and players, year on year."
This year's event will return to Castle Stuart Golf Links, Inverness for the third successive year from 11 to 14 July. In 2014 Royal Aberdeen Golf Club will stage an event for the first time from 10 to 13 July over the Balgownie links.
