Aramark wins £25m UK Airbus deal from Sodexo
Aramark has won a £25m foodservice contract with international aircraft manufacturer Airbus, taking from incumbent operator Sodexo in late spring.
Aramark is already a foodservice partner to Airbus in Germany and Spain.
The five-year deal will see the caterer deliver foodservices at all UK Airbus sites at Filton, near Bristol and Broughton, near Chester, for around 10,000 employees in total.
Aramark will increase the number of food and drink outlets, refurbish dining areas and introduce a new concierge service as well as longer opening hours, in order to match the working patterns of its client's diverse workforce of manufacturers, engineers and office-based staff.
It will also design and operate a new main restaurant at the Filton campus in Barnwell House, a new flagship building that is currently under construction and due to open in autumn.
Tony Heddon, Aramark's UK business development director, said: "It is a privilege to be working with such a high-profile company. We've won this business by ensuring that a fresh, adaptable and innovative service is developed to keep Airbus staff motivated, delighted and productive."
