Artizian wins Canon catering contract
Contract caterer Artizian has won a deal worth more than £1.4m in turnover over the full term to feed staff at Japanese electronics firm Canon.
Artizian will provide a staff restaurant, Costa coffee bar, trolley service and hospitality at the electronics firm's UK headquarters in Reigate, Surrey, in a three-year deal.
The caterer will also provide services at Canon's training centre in West Crawley, Sussex. Contract caterer Sodexo previously ran the contract.
As part of the contract Artizian worked with Canon to come up with a new name for the company's staff restaurant, with the firm's staff encouraged to suggest a new look, logo and colour scheme. The chosen name, Oishii, means delicious in Japanese.
A spokesman for Canon said: "This appointment was made at the end of an extensive tender process where Artizian won the contract after having demonstrated its innovative approach to healthy, nutritious diets, coupled with its commitment to and focus on fresh foods."
The Canon deal comes after a busy summer which saw Artizian net London deals at investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort and staff feeding at law firm DLA Piper.
