Avenance wins Harrods contract

Avenance has won a new contract to feed 3,500 employees at Harrods department store in Knightsbridge, London.

The contract caterer will take over from Aramark and is due to re-launch a range of services, including a deli-bar, retail outlet, branded coffee facility and vending services.

It has also pledged to improve the menu ranges and recipes on offer.

Avenance sales director, John Wright, said: "It is fantastic for Avenance to win such a prestigious contract. The client was very impressed with our innovative approach to customer and support services and the team's ability to differentiate our offering from that of our competitors."

Avenance is the Business & Industry sector of Elior UK and has an annual turnover of about £150m. Its clients include Sainsbury's, GlaxoSmithKline, Lloyds of London and Nestlé UK.
