BaxterStorey promotes long-term employee to regional managing director

BaxterStorey has promoted long-term employee Dave Hawkes to regional managing director.

Hawkes, who worked for Baxter Smith ahead of its merger with Wilson Storey Halliday to form BaxterStorey in 2004, will be responsible for overseeing the central region including areas such as Birmingham, Essex and East Anglia.

He will be tasked with growing his region through current clients as well as organically through new business opportunities, managing client relationships, overseeing the supply chain and driving training through the caterer's Chef Academy

Commenting on his appointment, Hawkes said his main aim is to ensure 100% business retention.

"It's important that as a team we focus on our people, the fresh, local food we provide and offering value for money to clients," he added.

Prior to joining Baxter Smith in 1991, Hawkes held positions at Granada and Compass after attending Thames Valley University.

Alastair Storey, chairman of BaxterStorey, said: "Dave's extensive expertise in the field will enable him to continue growing our business and presence across the central region and his philosophies align with those of BaxterStorey."
