BaxterStorey wins three-year Highlands and Islands contract
BaxterStorey has won a three-year multi-site contract at Inverness College University of Highlands and Islands worth around £2.1m.
The catering and cleaning contract began in August, when BaxterStorey sustained all of the 33 existing jobs at the college's Longman, Midmills and Forestry campuses.
A new chef role was created, and BaxterStorey has promised to support local suppliers by using fresh and sustainably sourced ingredients.
This approach has proved successful with the students and staff at the campuses, with sales increasing by 27% since the contract commenced.
Jeremy Wood, BaxterStorey regional managing director, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our commitment to delivering fresh menus using local produce, prepared on-site daily by well-trained teams and we look forward to receiving feedback from staff, students and visitors."
The offers at the three venues include a wide range of cuisine and menu choices, including a large selection of "grab and go' options that meet the varied dietary needs of both staff and students. BaxterStorey has also introduced a Costa Coffee franchise to the Longman Campus.
