Benugo opens Bishopsgate Kitchen restaurant in London Spitalfields
Café-to-deli operator Benugo has launched Bishopsgate Kitchen, a new all-day dining restaurant in Spitalfields market, London.
Benugo's sixth independently branded restaurant is open from 8am for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving a menu of rustic European dishes of sharing boards and Mediterranean-influenced larger plates.
The short wine list at Bishopsgate Kitchen, which also features a deli, includes old and new world bins and artisan Belgian draught beer.
Ben Warner, owner and co-founder of Benugo, said: "I'm tremendously excited to open Bishopsgate Kitchen in such an historic and vibrant part of the City.
"Our offering is ideal for an area that hosts hundreds of offices and we hope to create a community destination where people will feel the same welcome when pausing for coffee or staying for a longer meal."
The restaurant is attached to the Bishopsgate Institute, but it has its own dedicated entrance on Brushfield Street.
The firm, which is owned by contract caterer BaxterStorey's parent company WSH, also counts six Benugo cafés and 18 in-house kiosks and cafés within City firms in London, in its portfolio.
It has also grown its concessions business, including a £25m deal at London's Science Museum and a £20m contract with National Museums Scotland.
