BHA launches online food safety guide
The British Hospitality Association has announced the launch of an online food safety guide for all sizes of hospitality business.
Hot on the heels of the BHA's fire safety guide, the computer-based package clarifies the latest regulations from the Food Standards Agency and local authorities of the"Scores on the Doors" scheme.
"The system provides all the information that business will need to implement food safety regulations," said John Dyson, BHA's food and technical affairs advisor.
The on-guide eliminates the need for paper manuals and includes all records of a business which can be easily accessed at any time from a secure database.
The guide provides:
An overview of food safety legislation
Interpretation of government guidance
Guidelines on practically implementing HACCP principles
An E-learning training package on food safety awareness
Self-auditing checklists
Crisis management and house rules
BHA members can download the guide from www.bha-compliance.org.uk at a reduced rate. The guide is also available to non-members at support@cocoms.co.uk
