BHA round-up: Teaming up for the whole of hospitality
The British Hospitality Association and The Caterer are to share their industry expertise for the benefit of members and readers
Two of the biggest names in hospitality are joining forces in a new partnership that will create a unique resource for everyone in the industry.
The British Hospitality Association (BHA) and The Caterer will pool their knowledge, expertise, tailor-made services and reach to help thousands of operators thrive and grow in a complex and closely scrutinised environment.
In a sector where growth shows no sign of slowing, everyone working in hospitality needs quick access to information to continually improve and drive profitability.
Both organisations have a proud history of championing the industry, from lobbying to bringing people together to celebrate
success and share ideas.
From April onwards, the BHA will regularly publish articles to inform businesses on policy reform, regulation and market intelligence in The Caterer magazine and on www.thecaterer.com.

According to the BHA, the hospitality industry is the fourth-largest employer in the UK and, given the right policy framework, the industry can contribute a further 100,000 jobs by 2020.

Industry Guide to Good Hygiene Practice: Catering 2016
A British Hospitality Association (BHA) team of food safety and risk experts has been working with the Food Standards Agency and Food Standards Scotland on this long-awaited guide, which was last revised in 1995.
BHA members will get the chance to pre-register for the guide before its publication in the summer.
Jenny Morris, head of the Institute of Food Safety Integrity and Protection, said: "We have been waiting a long time for this essential industry guide.
It will be invaluable to both the catering industry and enforcement officers as it gives advice on what compliance with the law looks like."
