Bloomsbury event space opens after £2.4m upgrade

A new conference, events and performance centre has opened in London's Bloomsbury following a £2.4m upgrade.

20 Bedford Way is housed in a building designed by Denys Lasdun - architect of the National Theatre.

Its primary event space is Logan Hall (pictured), which features a custom-built 930-seat lecture theatre and performance space, including integral AV systems and lighting rigs.

The investment also saw the introduction of a new Costa Coffee café and a dedicated street-level conference entrance, while a wide range of catering options are on offer.

Michael Walker, head of residence, conference and catering, said: "We have developed the ‘20 Bedford Way' brand and its accompanying website www.20bedfordway.com, to reflect the strength and simplicity of the building and to attract the attention of external conference and event organisers to our excellent, professional facilities.

"Clients find this building the perfect ‘blank canvas' and backdrop to any event."
