Bradford City FC signs Lindley Venue Catering in £1.4m deal

Bradford City FC has signed Lindley Venue Catering in a new five-year deal worth £1.4m.

The club, which was recently promoted to League One following a 3-0 victory against Northampton Town in the League Two play-off, has appointed Lindley to manage all of the public matchday catering at the 25,136 capacity Coral Windows Stadium.

Lindley Venue Catering, the specialist sports catering division of the Lindley Group, took over in time for the start of the new season when Bradford City beat Carlisle 4-0 at home.

The caterer launched a number of its branded retail concepts at the ground, including Franks' Original New York Streetdogs, The Pie Factory and Flaming Good Burger.

David Baldwin, director of operations at Bradford City FC, described the club's promotion as an ideal opportunity to review its catering services.

"We believe Lindley Venue Catering is best placed to help us to improve and develop the food offer for our fans and away visitors on matchdays. They have a strong infrastructure and resource pool in Yorkshire and being established in the region has given them a good feel for local preferences and tastes."

Lindley Venue Catering's other stadium concession contracts in the county include Rotherham FC, Doncaster Rovers FC, Sheffield Wednesday FC and John Smith's Stadium, home to both Huddersfield Town FC and rugby league club Huddersfield Giants.

Jonathan Davies, Lindley's sales & marketing director, added: "As well as introducing new concepts and initiatives at the ground on matchdays, we will also be working with the team at Bradford City FC to engage more with fans and encourage them to use the new facilities and support their club even further with a percentage of the returns from catering being reinvested into the club."

The club's next home match is against Sheffield United at home on 24 August.
