Brakes wins six prizes at British Frozen Food Federation awards
Food service supplier Brakes has scooped a total of six accolades at the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) awards, held last night at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
Brakes collected two gold, one silver and three bronze awards for its entries in the Best Main, Best Meat Free Dish, Best Dessert and Best Bakery Product categories. Products from across the Brakes Group of specialist businesses were recognised, with La Boulangerie, Creative Foods and Brakes branded products all winning accolades.
Brakes marketing director James Armitage said: "We are very proud to have won so many awards. This is a credit to the hard work and commitment of everyone involved in the innovation, development and sourcing of award-winning products for our customers."
Brian Young, director general of the BFFF, said: "The BFFF awards celebrate the very best products in food service. The competition was very stiff this year and the high quality of entries is a sign of the continuing resilience and innovation in the frozen food industry. The products submitted by Brakes were of an excellent quality and we are very pleased to recognise them."
