Brookwood Partnership acquires Graysons Education for undisclosed sum
Independent school meal provider the Brookwood Partnership has acquired the education catering business of Graysons Restaurants for an undisclosed sum.
The move is in line with the company's recent growth aspirations and sees Brookwood become a national caterer operating across the UK.
Graysons Education will continue to operate as it is under the new ownership of Brookwood. The combined revenues are expected to exceed £40m and the acquisition takes the number of employees to around 1,320.
Sue Parfett, managing partner for Brookwood, commented: "This represents a wonderful acquisition and an opportunity for both businesses to grow together. Graysons Education is a successful national business that has grown each year since formation. We are delighted to have them on board."
Graysons, which launched in 2008, has developed a portfolio of contracts across business and industry, event catering and education. The company's management recently took the decision to shed the education business in order to concentrate their focus on the other sectors.
Mike Bond, director of Graysons Education, said: "Brookwood's vision and values, and particularly their focus on food, fits very closely with that of Graysons Education so the integration will be very smooth and uncomplicated."
