Catering partner open day in Nottingham

Nottingham Theatre Royal + Royal Concert Hall (NTRCH) is starting a £3.5m refurbishment project which will modernise public spaces and meeting rooms, improve access, and increase the flexibility and commercial potential of this flourishing venue, which sits right at the heart of the city centre, a truly iconic frontage on a street with 3.5 million footfall a year. A key part of this project will be a new street-fronting double level ‘Café Bar', with a striking architectural features and a new focal point to draw the public in.

The Theatre Royal is an 1,100 seat Victorian ‘playhouse' and the Royal Concert Hall is a contemporary 2,500 seat music venue. Together they attract some 550,000 customer visits a year for a quality programme of arts and entertainment, and they have become the major venue for the East Midlands region, with 4 million people within 45 minutes. They now intend to develop a new daytime ‘audience', both public and business users, which this café bar will both benefit from and help attract, from breakfast to midnight.

NTRCH will be seeking proposals from experienced and innovative commercial caterers. Tender information will be available from the procurement portal in due course but interested parties will need to register at www.eastmidstenders.org/index.html

In the first instance we propose to hold an open day from 11 am on Thursday 25th August. The open day wil include a tour of the building and a brief presentation on the project opportunity.

Please contact Mark Hobbs at Kendrick Hobbs mark@kendrickhobbs.co.uk to book a place on the open day.
