Catermasters and Olympic hopeful Sara McGreavy launch exercise videos

Catermasters has produced a series of exercise videos in conjunction with Team GB hopeful Sara McGreavy as part of its London 2012-themed wellbeing campaign.

Aimed at encouraging customers and staff in each of 120 workplace restaurant sites across the UK to improve their general fitness in 2012, the exercises are designed to be easily performed in the office environment.

McGreavy, a 100-metre hurdler whose Olympic efforts are sponsored by the B&I catering specialist, said: "Lots of people in the workplace don't realise that there's lots of simple exercises they can do when they have a spare five minutes at lunchtime and the benefits to their general fitness and wellbeing shouldn't be underestimated.

"By showing people how to do wall slides, lunges, press-ups, reverse press-ups, step-ups and shoulder rolls in these short videos, we'll hopefully inspire people and make them realise how accessible and easy the most basic exercises can be."

The exercise videos mark the second phase in the caterer's campaign to encourage healthy eating and the importance of exercise. In January Catermasters launched its Sara McGreavy ‘Recommended' range of healthy foods and snacks.

Catermasters joint managing director, Nigel Johnson, said: "The excitement is building ahead of London 2012 and by linking these exercise videos and our new ‘Recommended' range to Sara's Team GB qualification bid, we're hoping to inspire our customers and help them to get fitter and healthier."

A different exercise video will be uploaded to the Catermasters website every month
