Catermasters names Sarah Thomson its Employee of the Year
National workplace catering firm Catermasters has named Sarah Thomson as its Employee of the Year for 2010.
Chef manager Thomson was awarded the accolade after she took Catermasters' TNS site in West London from running at a loss to a profit in her first financial year in charge.
It had been underperforming but her efforts saw sales increase and the TNS subsidy reduced as a result of this improvement.
Catermasters joint managing director, Nigel Johnson, said: "Sarah has faced a number of challenges and many difficult moments during the short time she has been a chef manager at TNS but the way she has turned things around and excelled in her new position has been truly amazing.
"She runs the TNS site with great consistency in all areas of the business and the fact that she has taken a financial loss in 2009 and turned that in to a healthy and profitable site in difficult economic circumstances is a great achievement that should be recognised."
Thomson, joined Catermasters in 2008 as a sous chef, commended her team for their support at TNS. "I'm honoured to have been selected as Catermasters' Employee of the Year because it shows that hard work does pay off," she added.
