Contract caterer, Catermasters has received the top rating for its hygiene standards and competence at client premises.
The caterer, which provides all of the on-site catering services to the Williams F1 team in Grove, Oxfordshire has just been awarded the maximum five-star rating for its standards of hygiene and competence at the venue by the environemtal health, food and safety officers from the Vale of White Horse District Council.
The five-tier ratings are part of the national ‘Scores on the Doors' scheme.
Nigel Johnson, joint managing director at Catermasters, said: "It's particularly satisfying when your achievements are recognised by an official body like the Environmental Health Office."
The Leamington-based company provides all of the catering services at Williams' staff restaurant, as well as its conference centre that regularly hosts delegates for various events.
Nigel Gill is the chef manager at the main Williams site, while Ryan Holmes leads the catering team at the conference centre.
EHO ratings are based on standards of food hygiene, structure of the food premises and confidence in the management team, and the catering company was awarded a maximum 5-stars.
The explanation for a 5-star rating states: ‘excellent - there is an excellent record of compliance. Standards are high and conform to statutory obligations and industry codes of practice'.
