Caterplus brings Allpay biometric cashless payment system to North Hertfordshire Homes
Caterplus has introduced a biometric cashless payment system to its contract with North Hertfordshire Homes.
The cashless system is supplied by Allpay, which until now has delivered the service only in schools; Caterplus will manage the meals provision for residents at three Hertfordshire residential homes.
"We believe it is important for our residents to have access to high-quality, nutritious meals particularly if preparing food for themselves has become onerous," explained Andrew Buchan, head of care and supported housing at North Hertfordshire Homes.
"The aim of introducing the biometric recognition system is to ensure that this process is as easy and worry-free as possible for both residents and staff."
Paul Robottom, Caterplus managing director, added: "An essential part of introducing its new catering service has been consulting with residents to understand and meet their needs in terms of choice of menu and nutritional balance."
