CESA conference delegates raise £17,000 for Team UK's Bocuse d'Or bid
Delegates of the 2010 Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA)](http://www.cesa.org.uk/) conference have helped raised over £17,000 to support Team UK's entry into the forthcoming [Bocuse d'Or](http://www.bocusedor.com).
At a pre-conference dinner held at Ryder Cup host [Celtic Manor](http://www.celtic-manor.com/) last night, Academy of Culinary Arts president Brian Turner held an auction that included dinner for two at the Waterside Inn in Bray, donated by Alain Roux; and a Rolls-Royce chauffeur-driven transfer from the airport for an all-inclusive two-night stay at Inverlochy Castle, courtesy of Albert Roux.
Andrew Jones, managing director of Electrolux Professional and a member of the CESA marketing committee which organised the fundraiser, said: "The auction prizes helped us raise £17,490, which is a fantastic result and way above our expectations. On behalf of the Bocuse d'Or candidate and Bocuse d'Or Team UK I'd like to pass on our sincere thanks to everyone involved.
"This money, together with donated funds, will now allow us to have a secure future and be able to support not just Simon Hulstone into the final in 2011 but to be on a secure footing for the next candidate, which is essential if we are to continue to push for higher results."
Hulstone, together with support from Team UK colleagues Nick Vadis and Jordan Bailey, will compete at the Bocuse d'Or in Lyon in January.
