Chartwells, Compass Group's education business, has scored top marks and a £40m catering contract with the University of Salford.
The new nine and a half year deal includes a commitment to invest £2.5m to revamp the various food offers under a new university brand called Salfood, which will be a blend of different cuisines that cater for the diverse population of almost 20,000 students.
A 70-strong Chartwells team will provide catering at 11 outlets across the main campus and the university's operation at MediaCityUK. These include three large restaurants, seven cafés and a retail shop.
Brands such as Starbucks and Costa will be available and Chartwells will also be responsible for delivering hospitality for internal and external events on campus.
The Chartwells team will be tasked with supporting students with employment prospects, through CV and interview workshops. In addition, more than 60 employment opportunities for students will be made available across Compass Group UK & Ireland and its venues.
Chris Large, associate director for estates at the University of Salford, commented: "Fantastic food that exceeds expectations is just part our commitment to deliver an unrivalled experience for our students. We know that great catering makes our students happy. Chartwells are making this happen for us."

We're keen to evolve with the university and work closely with their team and the students and the plans we've got in place for the year ahead are the first step on this exciting journey."
