Chatime to open 13th site
Taiwanese bubble tea cafe chain Chatime is set to open its 13th site next week.
The new venue will open at 14 Bank Street in Edinburgh on 2 June, making it the first site for the company in Scotland.
Bubble tea is a tea-based drink served both hot and cold in a variety of colours and flavours, filled with tapioca balls. It first became popular in Taiwan in the 1980s.
Peter Wong, founder of Chatime UK, said: "We're excited to launch our first store in Scotland and to have found such a brilliant location in the centre of the city. Bubble Tea is the perfect summer refreshment and we can't wait to welcome the people of Edinburgh in to try our delicious selection."
In addition to the new Edinburgh venue, Chatime has sites in: London Soho, London Brunswick, London Chinatown, London Portobello, London Shoreditch, Nottingham Long Row, Oxford, Derby Westfield, Brighton, Birmingham, Cambridge, Manchester.
