Chelmsford Borough Council: Provision of catering services

Chelmsford Borough Council seeks an experienced caterer to operate the cafés and catering services at its primary leisure Centre, which attracted over ¾ million customers in the year 2007 - 2008.

The catering services comprise of a main café situated in the Centre's foyer, a service point in the ice-rink, a café service in Kool Kids (children's play area), as well as a service point for the outdoor swimming pool.

Proposals for refurbishing the service counter in the main café will be supplied to tenderers. Following this refurbishment the catering has the potential to take in excess of £250,000 per annum.

The contract will be let on a commercial competitive basis for a five year period. There will be no bids for this contract from any internal Council departments.
