Compass appoints Andy Harris as MD of executive dining
Compass Group has today announced the appointment of Andy Harris as managing director of its executive dining business Restaurant Associates (RA).
Harris has 20 years of food service operational experience, the last 16 of which have been with Compass, and much of his career has been in the business and industry and fine dining sector.
He steps up from his most recent position as sales and retention director to take over his new role from Nick Potter, who leaves Compass to become managing director of theatres and venues for the Ambassador Theatre Group.
Ian Sarson, group managing director, Compass Group, said: "Andy has played a major role on the Compass leadership team for many years.
"With his significant operational experience and his success as sales and retention director over the last three years, Andy is the ideal person to grow Restaurant Associates and to continue to provide the superior service for which the brand is recognised."
Reporting directly to Sarson, Harris's appointment means that RA, which has exclusive chef relationships with Albert Roux, Michel Roux Jnr, Gary Rhodes and Jason Atherton, will again have a presence on the Compass executive team.
Harris will work closely with Jason Leek, managing director of Business & Industry, to ensure a continued development of RA's service standards excellence.
