Compass boosts support services with acquisition of PPP-Infrastructure Management
Compass Group has today announced another acquisition, aimed at strengthening its support services offer in the public sector.
PPP-Infrastructure Management Ltd (PPP-IML), a wholly owned subsidiary of Semperian PPP Investment Partners Group, has annual revenue of £19.7m and its gross assets as at 28 February 2011 were £4m.
Its acquisition is part of Compass's strategy to establish its growing support services offering and enables the caterer to bolster its offer in three public-sector markets within which it operates - defence, education and healthcare.
Ian Sarson, group managing director of Compass Group, said: "Compass has an undisputed food service reputation and long-standing history within the defence, education and healthcare markets.
"Today's client increasingly looks for multi-service solutions, so by combining the experience and expertise of Compass and PPP-IML we will be able to strengthen our offering and respond to our public sector clients' demands."
PPP-IML's client portfolio includes the operation of an army training facility, primary and secondary schools around the country, a hospital, teaching and research university facilities and children's homes.
