Compass wins £2.4m contract with Hampshire Garden Centre
Foodservice firm Compass Group has won a £2.4m contract with Garsons Garden Centre in Titchfield, Hampshire.
The first such garden centre deal for the group, the five-year contract with the Compass Instore team will include a refurbishment of the centre's public restaurant to reflect the centre's design, including the use of materials such as slate, wood and astroturf.
There will also be a new fresh food offer, including breakfast dishes such as porridge and a Full English, plus lunchtime options such as deep-dish quiches and Sunday roasts.
A selection of baked muffins, scones and brownies will also be available, along with drinks including Costa coffee, beer, wine and cider.
Andy Rees, Business Director for Instore, said: "With our expertise there's a lot we can add to create a great customer experience for garden enthusiasts."
Ben Thompson, director at Garsons, said that Compass had secured the contract thanks to its food and drinks knowledge, operational expertise, and design ideas.
