Concerto Group to open Royal Liver Building events space

The Concerto Group is set to open a 200-capacity events space in Liverpool's Royal Liver Building.

Named the Venue, it is expected to open on 1 June and be suitable for corporate and private events. Concerto will offer packages including catering, drinks, staffing, entertainment, and free Wi-Fi.

The space will be located on the first floor of the historic building, with a balcony overlooking the Mersey River.

The grade I-listed building opened in 1911 and is part of the city's Unesco "World Heritage Maritime Mercantile City". Chief executive of the Concerto Group, Teresa-Anne Dunleavy, called the site an iconic Liverpool landmark.

She said: "The Royal Liver Building makes a stunning setting for special events. We look forward to introducing our clients to this unique venue in 2014."

The Concerto Group umbrella comprises 16 brands across events and venue management, catering, and entertainment.
