Concession for the Operation of the Lido Pavilion Café in Hyde Park

The Royal Parks is responsible for the management of London's Royal Parks. We aim to manage the Parks so that they offer peaceful enjoyment, recreation, entertainment and delight to those who use them.

The Lido Pavilion café in Hyde Park is located on the southern part of the park with spectacular views across the Serpentine lake and in an enviable position adjacent to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain, one of London's major tourist attractions. With an indoor seating capacity of 60 and an external seating area of 160 the café offers a fantastic business opportunity for a high quality caterer wishing to present a new concept in one of the most prestigious locations in London.

We wish to hear from any organisation or individual who might be interested in operating the Lido café. A seven year license will be granted commencing in October 2009, with an option to extend. The operator will be required to fit out and decorate the café.

The Royal Parks expects a fresh approach of operating and very high standards. The operator will be given a measure of commercial freedom and will be expected to work in partnership with us to deliver the high standards that both parties wish to achieve.

For an information pack and pre-qualification questionnaire, please contact Mike Page, Head of Procurement, The Royal Parks, The Old Police House, Hyde Park, London W2 2UH (e-mail: procurement@royalparks.gsi.gov.uk).

Deadline 18th February 2009.
