Craft Guild of Chefs calls for 2016 award nominations
The Craft Guild of Chefs is calling for nominations for its 2016 awards, across 16 categories.
Entries are being sought from all areas of the chef profession via the Craft Guild website. The winners are set to be announced at a ceremony at the Lancaster London hotel on 1 June, which is expected to be attended by over 800 leading UK chefs.
Categories include Apprentice Chef, Chef Lecturer, Pastry Chef, New Restaurant of the Year, Contract Catering Chef, and Young Chef. The deadline is 26 February.
Judging will begin at the end of March, with the nominee list announced at the beginning of April, and judges will come from a selected group of senior industry chefs, media representatives and members of the Guild.
In addition, the Special Award will be presented to an individual who has been judged as significantly contributing to the chef industry over a long period.
The event is now also taking bookings for those who would like to attend, on 0845 108 5504.
Founded in 1965, the Craft Guild of Chefs celebrated its half century in 2015, and is now chaired by chef Christopher Basten, and presided over by Vice Admiral Tony Johnstone-Burt.
