Cucina Restaurants wins £1.4m school catering contract

School caterer Cucina Restaurants has won a five-year contract worth £1.4m at Hurstmere Foundation School for Boys in Sidcup, Kent.

The school has 1,050 pupils aged 11-16 and the contract will begin on 1 April 2016.

Commenting on the new contract win, Cucina's managing director Stuart Lenton said: "We are delighted to be opening a new restaurant in Hurstmere Foundation School and we are looking forward to this new school partnership."

The latest financial results for Cucina showed the firm had increased its turnover to £10.9m for the 12-month period to 31 March 2015, up 10.1% from £9.8m the previous year.
