Daniel Clifford joins star-studded NRB 2015 chef demo line-up
Chef Daniel Clifford from two-Michelin-starred Midsummer House restaurant in Cambridge is to complete the Chef Live line-up at this year's Northern Restaurant & Bar show (NRB 2015).
He will join Nigel Howarth of Northcote Manor and Gareth Jones of Mr Cooper's House & Garden in a demonstration line-up that counts eight Michelin stars.
NRB 2015 will take place from 17-18 March at the Manchester Central exhibition hall. Over 7,000 visitors are expected to attend, with more than 270 exhibitors and thousands of new products expected.
Clifford will feature as part of the Tuesday programme, which is set to include chefs Kenny Atkinson (House of Tides), Michael O'Hare (the Man Behind the Curtain), and Danny Young (Northcote Manor and North West Young Chef of the Year).
Howarth and Jones will appear on the Wednesday schedule, which also features Michael Wignall (Hotel Football and the Latymer), David Mooney (New Moon Co), and Nacho Manzano with Cesar Garcia (Iberica).
Thom Hetherington, chief executive of Northern Restaurant & Bar, said: "We are delighted to have attracted such star names to our Chef Live programme, which just gets better every year."
Visitors can bid for a place at the chef's table, with all money raised going to support industry charity Hospitality Action. Bids are being accepted before 5pm on 9 March via the NRB website.
Hetherington added: "Northern operators are thriving and big names are rushing to embrace the region. Our job is to make sure Northern Restaurant & Bar reflects this surge of commercial and creative vibrancy."
The NRB is now in its 15th year. Other events at the show include the announcement of the NRB Top 50 hospitality power list, which will highlight Northern-based employees and individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the success of their ventures.
