Deadline extended for Acorn Awards 2016 nominations

The deadline for entries for the 2016 Acorn Awards has been extended, and nominators now have just over one week left to nominate.

The awards, run in partnership with our sponsor ACT Clean, identify the 30 most promising hospitality operators under the age of 30.

Judging for the Acorns, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, will take place in early April, and the 30 winners will then be notified and invited to the celebration weekend, which will take place at Chewton Glen, New Milton, Hampshire on 12 and 13 June 2016.

After a series of team-building activities and an informal dinner on the Sunday, a formal presentation lunch will take place on the following day.

The Acorns have identified and honoured many people who have gone on to become big names in the industry over the years, including Marco Pierre White, Jason Atherton, Marcus Wareing and 2015 Hotelier of the Year Nick Jones.

Entrants from all sections of hospitality - pubs, bars and restaurants to hotels and foodservice operators - are welcome.

The final closing date for nominations is 4 March 2016.

Nominations for the 2016 Acorn Awards should be completed online by visiting www.acornawards.co.uk
