Delaware North CFO Paul Adey to act as MD following Dobson departure

Delaware North's chief financial officer Paul Adey has been named acting managing director for the company's UK operations following the surprise departure of Simon Dobson last week.

Adey joined the US-based business last September from Compass Group, where he had worked for 16 years in a number of roles, most recently as finance director for Compass Group's sports, leisure and hospitality division.

"While a new leadership approach designed to further leverage our global stadia and travel hospitality resources is being fully implemented over the next few months, Paul Adey, our current chief financial officer, will serve as acting managing director for our UK business.

"I have every confidence Paul and the executive team will ensure not only continuity of operations but continued advancement of Delaware North's business in the important UK market."

Dobson and Delaware North parted company last week after nine years. He joined the business in 2004 after it was awarded the sought-after 25-year deal to manage the catering and hospitality at Wembley Stadium.
