Derek Johnson becomes new chair of National Association of Care Catering

The National Association of Care Catering announced Derek Johnson as the new Chair at the National Conference in Blackpool.

Johnson stepped up from the role of deputy chair to replace Sue Ullman at the end of her two-year term.

Speaking at the close of the conference, Johnson said: "I never thought I would make a speech to you as Chair, but times and situations change for us all, and the challenges and fears that we overcome."

In addition, Karen Oliver took office as deputy chair.
